Well friends, today’s the day. The book is out.
Not my book—but Michael’s. And let me tell you, this one is… jacked up. In the best possible way.
It’s called The Jacked Up Life, and if you’ve ever wondered why your story feels messy, unfixable, or flat-out absurd, this book might just be the permission slip you didn’t know you needed. As Michael says on the back of the book, he invites you beneath the surface of your life “to confront the cracks in your foundation—the hidden shame, unspoken regrets, and false identities that keep you from freedom.”
I’ve walked with this man through the pages of this book before they were pages. I’ve heard the groans, the stories, the wrestling with grace and grit and what it means to live a life God can use even when it looks nothing like you thought it would. Especially then.
Michael says this is the book he needed before he wrote it.
I’d say it’s the book a lot of us need right now.
Here’s the link to grab it on Amazon: The Jacked Up Life
And if you want to hear more about where it came from—Michael’s post on it is right here: The Book I Needed Before I Wrote It
One of my favorite quotes from the book (there are many!) is this:
“Your failure is an event, not your identity.
The very fact that you feel broken is evidence you were made for wholeness.”
Would you do me a favor and share it with someone you know who’s stuck in a messy middle? Someone who’s wondering if God still wants them, even in the fallout? Someone who’s been living a jacked-up life but still wants to see God’s power show up?
I think you’ll see—it’s not just a book. It’s a lifeline.
With deep affection (and a whole lotta pride),
—Hayley
Just ordered it. Thank you Michael for writing it.
