Making a TO Do lists is a way of letting my mind rest of things that eventually need to get done and allows me freedom to focus on the day God has given me. If some things on the list get done OK, if not that's OK too. I would rather have the memory of playing in the rain than polishing the furniture that day. Just my thoughts.

that's a great perspective to have for you to-do list.

I've never thought about this, but thanks! I'm a list person too, and it's good to reflect on how it fits (or doesn't) as I seek to walk with God

Love this, Hayley! When I was home schooling my kiddos, their personalities (God given) came out clearly in their response to my lists…picture lists for preschoolers including chores to do each morning, were fun and rewarding for those designed to find comfort in structure. Lists of classwork required each week for high schoolers, caused dishonesty and avoidance by those threatened by failure. I’m keeping my lists too, they include things like putting on my armor every morning! 😉 But I’m grateful I’m no longer trying to raise different personalities therefore no longer need to “put the weight” of my lists on anyone else. I’m also thankful those kiddos all grew up to love and serve the very God who created them so differently! …In spite of me❣️
