I heard a Tim Keller sermon on this very thing and I have been using the "tool" ever since...well looking at that tether that leads to my idols more often,anyway. Our 22 year old grandson is just diagnosed with a rare cancer and our world feels shifted. Fear is a frequent companion. I need to use this tool even here. Where the fears are oh so real. It's amazing how much more power you have over anxiety when you don't run from it but ask it why it's there!
I am continuing to learn this. Keller has been very influential in this learning in my life. Stupid idols.
