Hey God Girls :)
To all of you who are the only Christian in their family, I was hoping you could help me. I'm the only one too - though my Dad grew up going to church, he thinks there's some sort of higher spirit but doesn't really believe in God or the Bible. I'm hoping God points him back on the right path.
We live in a small community and some of our 'neighbours' (they really live on another street, but within walking distance) are Jehovah's Witnesses. Even our actual neighbours are Christian, and one of my best friends from primary school's family is too. But nevertheless they occasionally will call anyone with a religious belief "God Botherers".
It's partly because of this I don't have the courage to tell them. Also because I'm not good with confrontation (so my parents don't know a lot about what goes on with me and how I feel and stuff like that) - it quite honestly scares me half to death.
Anyway. I was just wondering: How did you tell your parents that you believed in God? I think my Dad knows something, because he gave me a Bible that he and my Mum were given when they were married, but I haven't actually told them. Help please?
If you've read this whole thing: thank you for reading this fairly long post! God bless you all! :) x
