real living and not just existing

Today I tried to witness to my ex about God. He told me he felt like he had no purpose, like he was watching his life but not really living it. Like just existing. So I told him about how God really wants to give him a purpose and I told him my story and that when I gave my life to christ, I was given a purpose. I don't know if he really took in all of that but I pray that he did. He said thankyou so maybe it went somewhere...

Any thoughts?

-Matthew 17:20 (NIV). I think this verse kind of fits. Sometimes u may not get the reaction you wanted but u just planted a seed that has the power to do amazing things!
