Me, Myself, and I

I've been a member on here for a week or so and so I though I should post in my blog and let you all get to know a little about me.

I am 20 years-old, I will be 21 in April. I grew up in NC so I am a little Southern. I do say ya'll and sometimes say ain't (which are words by the way). I was born 4 months early and weighed 1 pound and 5 ounces, and not even a foot long. My parents were told multiple times that I wouldn't live. But for God's grace and the prayers and faith of my parents, family, and church family I am alive. Even after having surgery on my stomach after getting a hole poked in it, and getting chemicals spilled on me--which left both second and third degree burns over the majority of the back of my body. I am alive and healthy unlike a lot of premature babies.

I have 5 siblings (not including a miscarried sister), 4 brothers and 1 sister. I am the second oldest. I have grown up in church, and was saved when I was in between the ages of 8 and 12--I had made a profession when I was 6 and several more in between but I didn't really mean it until I was older. I was home schooled until my Junior year of  high school which is when my parents put me into the Christian school that was started by my Church. I attended there both my jr. and sr. years of high school. I graduated in May of 2009 with 9 other people!

In 2009-2010 school year I attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Pottersville, NY where I met my fiance, Jeff. It was a hard year, but a year that I am so happy for! :) It taught  me a lot and I grew in my relationship with God. It is a school that I highly recommend people go to, even if it's just for one year. While I was there I had to go out of my comfort zone a little and talk to people. We went to NYC for Open Air Evangelism twice, once in the fall and once in the spring and had snow camp during the winter (mini-camps on the weekend during the months of January, February, and March), and super bowl's (youth groups and teens come to a sporting event like basketball, hockey, etc and hear the gospel preached, and then go to places like a bowling alley, a skating rink, or a dome to play all night!) during the late fall. And during the summer I counseled on the Island--Word of Life's teen camp, which again stretched me in so many ways.

I am now at home where I have been since graduating from WOLBI in August of 2010. I took classes at my churches college for Medical Transcription and I started working doing that this month! (January 2012).

I will be getting married in October of this year to the love of my life.
