God Girl

Once upon a time in a not so far away land and time, there lived a young maiden named Leorah. Though we can go on to say that Leorah was the most beautiful, vivacious, and clever girl in all the land, we won't as that doesn't really effect the story much. She was though so don't you forget it! ;)

Being an adventure seeker like she was, she had basket loads of stories she could tell one. Stories and...shhh...secrets.

Yes, the secrets she learned throughout her time - no matter how young she was - were countless. Some were good secrets while others were bad. Either way, though she kept a good deal of both, none of them really effected her. Most of the secrets she kept were just silly little ones about so and so and what so and so did. Nothing that important. ...Until one day she stumbled across a secret that completely transformed her world.

Applying this secret to her life, practically everything in her life changed. And for the better too! Her grades - ...uh hem...marks in school improved greatly as well as things such as her relationships. She all the sudden had the things she wanted and all the sudden did the things she always wanted to do.  Such as certain books and going bungee jumping.  She looked at life in a much positive light, life became easier and more pleasant, and she didn't complain half as much as she once had. (...Although you should totally know that being the angel Leorah was, she hardly ever did complain.)

   So, um...moving along!

The secret she found out helped her so amazingly much that for a while, she didn't know if she should share it with others. I mean, it wasn't that she didn't want their lives to improve as well. She just didn't want the magic to run dry! One day though, she realized that the magic will NEVER run dry and that EVERYONE should know this secret. And so she told it.

The secret to improving your life is to take at least ten minutes per day to realize just how much you have and to GIVE THANKS for it. Give thanks to the Lord as well as those the Lord used to give it to you.

When Leorah first heard this secret herself, she personally thought that though it was good to give thanks, giving thanks couldn't really help her. It DID though! And THIS IS HOW GIVING THANKS IMPROVES YOUR LIFE-

When you give thanks to others, they are going to not only appreciate you more and therefore, TREAT YOU BETTER, they are also going to continue GIVING you things or DOING things for you.

An example would be smiling warmly at a person and saying thank you to them for opening a door for you. If you are truly thankful, the person WILL know and you will all the sudden you will notice that person pulling out your chair for you, opening more doors for you, and all in all, being more polite. Because once they realize you TRULYappreciate them for their one small gesture, doing more things for you will become not only EASY for them but aPLEASURE!

And this works on EVERYONE! Give sincere thanks to your parents or siblings for doing your chore for you or helping you out on something you find hard and they will do it a lot more often. Give sincere thanks to your teacher for helping you succeed in something and your teacher to try harder to help you succeed in other things.  Give sincere thanks to your grandparents for the amazing trip they took you on and they will end up planning more trips.  Give sincere thanks to your gal pal or sister for letting you borrow a gorgeous nail color and she will end up lending you more things more easily.  You get the idea?!  Before you know it, you will ALWAYS have someone there to give you a hand.  Life is just...better!

Anyway! This story about Leorah and this secret she found out and used to improve her life actually isn't even her story at all! It is YOUR story. Or, a beginning of what could be a story of yours. Apply this secret to your life and watch in amazement at what it WILL do for you! Because TRUST ME, it WILL be AmAzInG!!!

Give thanks! (Even for the small things/things done with a grumpy heart! Because the small will become BIG and the grumpy will become WILLING and even WILLING TO PLEASE!)

 ♥/Leorah
