Yay :) That's good, just make sure that you don't end up doing what I call "missionary dating" which is when you date a guy whose heart isn't after God's and you try to change him. Don't do that because most of the time he will pull you down instead of you pulling him up to God, but keep talking to him about God, with prayer it will happen eventually :) I'm praying that everything goes well for you! I know exactly what it's like to be in your position.

my older sister has a tee shirt that says:

 

"A girl needs to be SO lost in God, that a guy needs to seek Him to find her."

 

THAT is what you need to look for in a guy, catholic or not, is that fact that he loves God more than any other person.

my biggest question when it comes to a guy is, "Is there heart on fire for God?" They have to love God more than they will ever love me. God has to be the most important thing in their life, just like God should be the most important thing in your life. If God isn't the most important thing in his life, than sorry I wouldn't even bother with it. I know that might sound harsh, but think about it. If what is so important to you, you don't have in common, than its just not going to work girl. Maybe for a little while it will, but not something that will last forever. Hope that made sense. If he's not on fire for God, don't go thinking you can change him into being that way. Maybe you can, but most likely you won't. And also make sure he isn't just playing out the whole Christian thing, because he wants to be with you, because after a while, he won't go along with that anymore. But again, I don't know anything about him.

And as far as his race, I honestly don't think that matters at all. Just keep praying about it girl. God will always answer you. He has it all in control.

Yeah I totally agree with what Raquel is saying if it is God's Will then it will happen just pray about it and hand it over to God, that's what i would do.

Well, if it's God's will it will happen :) I used to/still kinda sorta like a guy who is an atheist, but I never even thought about the possibility of dating him because he's not a Christian, so instead I just talk to him and email him about God, it doesn't really work that well, but he's a little more open minded now and he accepts the fact that I am a Christian and that I believe God is real. If it's meant to happen it will, just surrender it all to God and see what happens :)

maybe if your parents know the boy, and if he seems polite, and not rude or mean, and you explain to them how he is still part your race, and you can try to share Christ with him even if thye wont let you date him, since hes catholic, but maybe if he becomes a Christian, or IS a catholic/christian (catholic, but has accepted Jesus into his heart.) and i bet even you arnt TOTALLY white, like i LOOK white, but i am 1/2 ittalian, so just explain to them taht he is still PART white, and maybe they will allow it :) praying!
