Heyy God Girls!
I need help, I love singing an i plan on minoring in female voice. The problem? I'm nervous to sing in front of people. I take voice lessons an my teacher says I'm really good an she has me sing during teen services at our church, but no matter who takes to me and what they say i can't get over my nerves. :( I know that its a sin to worry but worry that I'm going to mess up or forget the tune. I need help! Does anyone have any advice about how to bet the nerves?
thanx
Luv in Christ,
Katie

Comment by Rachelle Aubrey on August 30, 2012 at 4:19pm Yes, she is still on. She's fine, but, little bro isn't. Sprained ankle from a big ball. Not like one from NBT, but bigger. She's fine. Everybody is.

Comment by Rachelle Aubrey on August 27, 2012 at 9:48am Hey, Katie! Trust God! That always helps, especially since I've learned to trust Him more now that what's-her-face has moved. (No name dropping)
Comment by Katie on August 24, 2012 at 12:44pm Thanx God Girls for this advice!!!! I'm singing in September so I'll remember everything that you girls have told me!!! Thanx again
Comment by Lisi on August 23, 2012 at 3:48pm I don't like singing in front of people either but I tried out for the Honor's choir at my school. You just gotta go with it and give your nerves to God
its ok! i have stage fright really bad! i mean the only person i sing to is God!
Comment by Haley G. Zachry on August 22, 2012 at 10:04am Here's one way to look at it. When you are singing, you shouldn't be trying to impress the people around you, you should be trying to impress God. After all, he is the one who gave you this talent, right? If you are only trying to impress Him and not worrying about the opinions and criticisms of the other people in your audience, then it should be a piece of cake! God will be happy and impressed just to see that you are using your talent to glorify Him! And if you know you're good (which you should, because God gave you this talent so you obviously are great) then there's no need to worry about how good others think you are because YOU already KNOW you're good!
And this is a win-win situation too, because once you gain that self-confidence and beauty that comes from glorifying God, you will sound better and others will see that too!!! :D
Good luck! <3
