I Just Need You

Questions swarm my mind,

Torture my conscience,

And invade my thoughts.

I desire nothing more

Than to grasp,

To comprehend,

And to understand

Why things happen the way they do.

The scenes in the movie

That is my life

Play out beyond my control

As if I am simply a spectator,

And you are the director.

You call the shots,

And you know the story.

It occurs to me

That if I only trust you,

A happy ending can be mine.

Since you promise in your Word

That all things work for the good

Of those who love you,

Trust you,

And obey you.

God, I don't need answers;
