How would you answer this question?
My pastor asked us a question the other night in our small groups. The question was and I quote, "Is it hard to understand why God loves us?" My pastor asked me what I thought after he let the others answer with the same basic answer that it was hard because we didn't deserve it. I said, "It's sometimes hard like the others said but it also isn't because you would love something that you created and God created us."
So how would you answer this question?

We are so unworthy yet Jesus loves us! I think it is difficult to comprehend how big His love is because we definitely don't deserve it at all but it's by the grace of God that we are saved. I don't think we necessarily need to understand, because that's why we have faith. We trust and believe that when God says 'His love is meteoric, His loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, His verdicts oceanic (Psalm 36:5)' He means it! That's what's so great I reckon, the mystery of it and how unfathomable His love is. :)

For some people it is really hard for people to understand why God loves us. They think that they don't deserve His love because of all the sin they have done. They ask themselves,"Why would God ever love me?" That's why we, the people who understand more easily, can change their lives by telling them that God can and does love them and He always will.
