Last week I traveled all the way to Massachusetts for a group missions project. Every evening, "Evening Programs" were held in the auditorium of the school we stayed in. After the progam people were welcome to stay in the auditorium to reflect on the day and pray to God.
My sister is my very best friend and she is leaving for college later this month. On Thursday night I stayed in the auditorium and prayed to God that I will not be as lonely as I am expecting to be when my sister leaves for college. It couldn't have been 15 seconds after I prayed that, that another boy still in the auditorium came and sat down next to me.
He whispered, "I just want you to know that no matter what, God will always love you. He will always be there for you." Then, he gave me a hug, and got up and left. God used that boy to comfort me and tell me that everything will be okay!

Comment by Lena Elizabeth on August 13, 2012 at 6:54pm That sounds like something a guy in my youth group would do to me! <3 He's actually really friendly, and totally awesome! He actually got to preach for the first time in front of the whole church a few weeks ago. But I bet that was amazing for you. =D
Thanks so much Michaela! A lot of my friends are seniors too because I play soccer with them. I will keep you in my prayers as well, since I definitely understand what you're going through in what seems like the final year with your friends.

Comment by Michaela on August 12, 2012 at 12:17pm That's very moving :) Definitely God right there! You are feeling better now i pray. I can totally relate. I have alot of senior friends. It scares me to death knowing that by this time next year, many of them will be leaving for college. One of them is my best friend. She will most likely be attending college in Ohio, far from where we live. So, girl, I totally feel for you and will definitely be praying.
Love Never Fails,
Michaela <3
