Encouragement In Action

Hey, this is my first blog post so bear with me.

I wanted to start a post about the importance and power of Godly encouragement in life. I'll keep this short by challenging you all to send an email or call, if you're comfortable doing that, to atleast one person God directs you to and put words of encouragement and ultimately words of life. I challenge you to talk to atleast one person at school that you never would talk to, even if that means rejection - just try it out. I dare you to be more sensitive to those around you and give praise when praise is do and give support when support is due. Its not hard with God. Encouragement is an incredible tool of ministry to the saved and unsaved. Just try it out. I challenge you to.

Examples you can try:

Rather than saying "I like your shirt" say "You look great in that shirt."

Listen and try not to control the conversation. Sometimes people are just dying to be heard.

Smiles, genuine ones, can be very comforting.

Don't refrain from talking to anyone because of what others will think, shyness or the idea that they don't want anyone talking to them. If they do, how will you know anyway? The risk is worth it. And I am shy so I can say that. Staying in your comfort zone don't cut it!
