Benefits of keeping those standards high! Never settle!

Hey girls!  Today I am going to talk about the benefits of keeping your standards high.  Yeah...I am well aware that came out sounding totally boring (and apologize) but maybe this equation of sorts will sound enticing.    

Keeping your standards high = People will respect you more as well as WANT and TRY to please you.    

Yes, its true!  How it works?  Well, let me begin answering with a question.  Haven't you ever asked yourself why everyone wants to be friends with the people who treat them like dirt?  You know what I am talking about.  Every school has those few mean girls who treat everyone they don't like worse then the gum at the bottom of their shoes and yet, they are STILL the most popular girls in school.  Like...what?!?!  I don't know about you but this always confused me.  One day though, it hit me to why they can be jerks and still reign over the school.  And that is because they keep their standards high.  

As rude as they are, people WANT to be their friends because being their friends means you truly are unique.  You truly do fit in.  You truly are gorgeous.  They don't just let anybody in their circle of friends and so it is an "honor" to be apart.  And though I totally am against this kind of behavior - I believe we should treat everyone the same as we are all children of God - it really proves the point of why we should keep our standards high.  

I have seen so many girls lower their standards to fit in or please a guy and it is just sad.  And being perfectly honest here, I have been one of those girls myself!  I really liked this guy and would do just about anything to get him to notice me.  Including lowering my standards which I completely regret.  I learned a lot from this but one of the main things was that people will treasure you more if you are harder to get.  If you show them just what kind of jewel from God you are and never settle for second best, they WILL appreciate you more and even fight harder for you to want them in return.  Because now, your opinion is not from a girl who would do just about anything to get them and others to notice you.  It is an opinion from a girl who keeps her standards high and wants to please the Lord by doing so.
