AOYC- INFUSE

On the long weekend, I went to an event called All Ontario Youth Convention, not really expecting to get anything out of it. Boy was I WRONG! I haven't been a faithful christian before this weekend, and to be honest was starting to have my doubts. I got so much out of this weekend. It was amazing. There were so many things to do, and so many speakers to listen to, and so many videos to watch, and Article One was even there as their last big event. But being there since Friday, by Sunday morning, I hadnt cried once, and everyone told me it was going to be a big cry fest, so I was wondering if I wasn't getting the message. We listened to speakers like Ken Dryfhout, Melinda Estabrooks, Rev. Colin McCartney, Michael 'Pinball" Clemons, and pastor Zan Ingalls. There were also speakers Compassion, and CRWRC, and also ROOF.

It wasn't until Zan Ingalls spoke on Sunday evening that the first tears were shed. He spoke to the troubled youth directly, the ones struggling with accepting Jesus as their saviour. There were a lot of youth with the same problem as me, I was forgetting, and so were they. Zan started off happy and enthusiastic and exciting, and funny, and getting the crowd cheering, and then after an hour or so of that he softened down and said a bunch of things that got us all thinking.

He asked those of us who were struggling with the path of Jesus Christ to come forward, and I did, and a lot of my best friends did too. And when we got up there, he spoke directly to each of us, saying that to accept Jesus Christ as our saviour we have to say that we do, and say it out loud, say that our live's our Gods to do what He wants with them, and that we trust him, and when we did, so many of us just cried with this experiance of just overflowing joy. And he asked those of us struggling, to sit by the two huge crosses at the side and recieve blessings from the people around us, and I swear like 8 people blessed me. It was just an amazing feeling, and finally when I stopped doing the 'ugly opera cry' I blessed others.

My best friend, has been struggling with suicide and depression since he was 10, hes now 16. Last year he met a girl, who is another one of my best friends, and they began to really like eachother. They dated on and off, but he always flirted with other girls because she lives eight hours away. I swear at this weekend, his view for her, and God changed completely. He was on his knees praying, and I just whispered into his ear (now I was losing my voice, so technically I was talking, but it turned out to be a whisper) I whispered about how Jesus loved him, and how he has been forgiven and told him to say those words, and then I felt this incredible feeling through me, and just words came out of my mouth, but I didnt know what I was saying. God was using me to talk to him, and a couple other friends that I blessed.

I even blessed someone who didnt like me, but by the end of the night, his opinion for me changed. I got told the next day, that whatever I said, was powerful, and that being able to bless on the first night of proclaiming your heart soul and body to God, is not very common, and the fact that I was doing it mere minutes afterword, and to such a powerful extent, was just astounding. Zan spoke again the next morning, and again had people in tears, but tears of Joy.

Let me just say, if you live in Ontario, and haven't been to this weekend, you are missing out. It is the most incredible God experiance I have had. Its happening again, next May 2-4 weekend! I will be there, and I hope others will come in and enjoy the love.
