- I found the book "god girl." As I read it in the bookstore, I didn't realize it was for young girls, because I was drawn in by Haley's writing and how much it resounded in my own life. Although I am past teen angst, I still stuggle with things mentioned in the book. I do strive for a deeper relationship with God, listening and waiting for Him. I denied him for a long time until something terrible happened, to me. The pain of that is still, very great. So, before I picked up the book, I was already on a "morning watch." I do spend at least. 30 mins, everyday, in His presence...sometimes listening, sometimes wailing in agony. But, my trust in Him is becoming stronger as I read, reflect and remember His word.
