You know, I've been thinking... When I get married one day (hopefully), I'll have kids. And you know what? I don't want my kids dating, or BEING, "nice Christian boys" and "nice Christian girls".

My all time favorite Bible story is Gomer and Hosea. I can't really tell you why, but I can tell you that you should definitely read it. Seriously- it's way more than one of those obscure stories you skip through in your Bible reading plan. It's a real-life soap opera. If the most powerful example of God’s love for us is Him sending Jesus to die on a cross, I think the second most powerful is the story of Hosea.

As Christians, it's pretty easy to do this - especially for those of us good girls who grow up in the church. Sometimes, we don't even realize we're doing it. We absorb the image of Christ that we are fed in the church or through family members, and we never take the time to ask ourselves what we really believe - and WHY. Lately, I've been thinking there's a lot of things I'd like to change. 1) I want start exercising more... I've spent way too much time on the couch. 2) I've been trying to curb my spending. 3) And I've been be trying to be more thankful. All of those things aren't easy! Can you think of what you'd like to change in your life? Maybe procrastinating less on your homework? Focusing more on being involved at church than with that cute boy?
